An Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as an Ophthalmic Surgeon. In addition, he has had two additional years of comprehensive training in plastic surgery of the face, with the eyes as an area of emphasis. This training takes place in a fellowship program under the sponsorship and strict oversight of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, setting a standard of excellence for well qualified surgeons in this field.
